Common questions
For most business sites, Elementor, especially when non-technical people will edit pages after launch. It has a forgiving editor, a Theme Builder for headers, footers and archives, and the largest add-on ecosystem. Bricks fits developer-owned sites where Core Web Vitals come first, and Kadence suits teams committed to the block editor. A fast Elementor site still needs careful setup. Compare the nine builders and themes we use.
Elementor, in most real-world tests. Divi stores layouts as shortcodes and loads heavy CSS and JavaScript by default, so 80 to 88 on mobile PageSpeed is a realistic target for a complex Divi site after full optimization. If 90+ on mobile is a hard requirement, Elementor or a block-based theme is the more reliable route. Neither builder is fast without solid hosting and caching underneath. Read our Divi vs Elementor comparison.
For agencies running many sites, usually yes. As of October 2026, Divi costs $89/year or $249 for a lifetime license, and it covers unlimited sites. Elementor Pro has no lifetime option: $60/year for one site, $108/year for three, $204/year for 25, and $540/year for unlimited sites on the Elementor One Agency plan. That math is a fair reason for a volume agency to stay on Divi. See the full pricing breakdown.
Yes, the design has to be rebuilt. Text, images and pages move across, but layouts get recreated in the new builder, because each builder stores them in its own format (Divi uses shortcodes, Elementor uses structured JSON). Do the rebuild on staging, keep URLs where you can and redirect the rest. If speed is the real complaint, try fixing it in place first. See our builder migration services.
