What we collect, why, and your choices.

This Privacy Policy explains how Mineweb LLC (“Mineweb,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit mineweb.io (the “Site”), contact us, or use our services. It covers this Site only. Websites we link to have their own policies.

1. Who we are

Mineweb LLC is a Wyoming limited liability company. It is the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

Forms: when you use the contact form, the free quote form, the free website audit form, or a product inquiry form, we receive what you enter: for example your name, email address, phone number, company name, website URL, project details such as budget and timeline, and your message.
Free speed test: when you test a website with our speed test tool, we store the URL you entered, the page you used the tool on, the date and time, and the scores the test returned. The tool does not ask for your name or email address.
Email and calls: what you tell us when you write to us or call us.
Project communication: information you share with us during a project, including website credentials you provide for the work (see Section 8).
Job applications: when you apply for a role through our contact form, we receive what you send us: for example your name, email address, your message, and links to your portfolio or GitHub profile. If the process continues, we also keep our notes from the intro call and from the practical exercise (paid when it takes more than two hours), what you send us for the exercise, and, when it is paid, the details we need to pay you for it.
Billing information: when you become a client, we keep your billing contact, company name and address, tax details, invoices, and payment records. Card payments go through our payment provider, and we never ask you to send us a full card number.

Information collected automatically

Form details: with each form entry, the Site records the page you sent it from, your IP address, and your browser’s user agent.
Server logs: the web servers of our hosting provider log each request: IP address, requested page, referring page, browser, and time.
Spam protection: pages with a form use Google reCAPTCHA to tell people from bots. reCAPTCHA collects technical data such as your IP address, browser details, and how you interact with the page, and sends it to Google. Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
Analytics and advertising data: pages visited, time on page, referring site, device and browser type, and approximate location, collected by Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel. Section 4 explains when these run and how to turn them off.

3. How we use your information

To answer your inquiries and to prepare quotes, proposals, and website audits
To perform contracted work on your website and to invoice for it
To review job applications and, when the practical exercise is paid, to pay you for it. We do not use applicant information for marketing.
To run the free speed test and review which websites were tested. We may use a tested URL to contact the business behind that website about our services.
To keep the Site secure, block spam and abuse, and fix errors
To understand how visitors use the Site and improve it (Google Analytics, see Section 4)
To measure visits that come from Facebook and Instagram and, if we advertise there, to show ads to people who visited the Site (Meta Pixel, which loads only after you click Accept, see Section 4)
To send you service-related messages. We do not send marketing email unless you opt in.
To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements

Legal bases for visitors in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland: we use your information to take steps you ask for before a contract and to perform a contract (inquiries, quotes, projects); for our legitimate interests in running a secure Site, blocking spam, answering messages, and learning which businesses use our speed test; with your consent for analytics and advertising cookies, which you can withdraw at any time in Cookie settings; and to comply with the law. For job applications, we rely on the steps you ask us to take before a possible contract and on our legitimate interest in hiring for our team, and, if you agree that we keep your application longer, on your consent.

4. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

The Site uses Google Tag Manager to load two tags: Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel. When they run, Google Analytics sets cookies and records how you use the Site, and the Meta Pixel sends Meta (Facebook and Instagram) information about your visit, such as the page you viewed, together with an identifier stored in a cookie. If you are logged in to Facebook or Instagram, Meta can link the visit to your account.

A cookie banner on your first visit lets you accept or decline them, and we pass your choice to Google tags with Google Consent Mode v2.

In the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, and in European time zones: analytics and advertising cookies stay off until you click Accept. While consent is denied, Google tags may send Google cookieless signals, for example that a page was loaded, without an identifier that links your visits together.
Everywhere else, including the United States: Google Analytics runs from your first page view, and the banner lets you turn it off. The Meta Pixel loads only after you click Accept. If you click Decline, Google Analytics stops setting cookies and the Meta Pixel stops loading from then on, and we delete the Google Analytics and Meta Pixel cookies the Site had already set.

Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. The full list of cookies, what each one does, and how long it lasts is in our Cookie Policy. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings, also at the top of our Cookie Policy.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track: if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sharing for advertising, and the Meta Pixel does not load unless you click Accept. There is no common standard for Do Not Track signals, so the Site does not respond to them.

Some pages show content from other services: YouTube videos (in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode), a post from Instagram, and an interactive 3D scene from Spline. When that content loads, the provider receives your IP address and browser details, and its own privacy policy applies.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

Service providers that run parts of our business for us: Opalstack (web hosting), Google (Google Workspace email, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, reCAPTCHA, PageSpeed Insights, YouTube), Meta (the Meta Pixel), and the providers we use for invoicing and payments. They may use the information only to provide their service to us, unless their own terms allow more (as Google’s and Meta’s do).
Professional advisors (lawyers, accountants) where necessary
Authorities when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights and safety
A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you

The free speed test sends the URL you enter from your browser to the Google PageSpeed Insights API, so Google receives that URL and your IP address.

California law may treat the Meta Pixel as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can turn it off at any time by choosing Decline in Cookie settings.

6. Where we process information

Mineweb LLC is a U.S. company, and the Site is hosted in the United States. Our team, which works remotely and mostly from Belgrade, Serbia, uses inquiry, project, billing, and job application information to do its work. Google and Meta may process information in the United States and other countries. If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, this means your information leaves your country. For U.S. providers certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (and its UK and Swiss extensions), we rely on that framework. For other transfers we rely on standard contractual clauses or another safeguard the law allows.

7. Your privacy rights

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

Know what personal information we collect, use, and share
Request a copy of your personal information
Request deletion of your personal information
Request correction of inaccurate personal information
Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To opt out of sharing through the Meta Pixel, choose Decline in Cookie settings or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser.
Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights

We will verify your request and respond within 45 days.

Other U.S. states

Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have similar rights of access, correction, deletion, portability, and opting out of targeted advertising. Contact us to exercise them, and we will honor the rights available to you under your state’s law.

EEA, UK, and Switzerland

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live. We respond within one month.

8. Website credentials and client data

When you hire us, you may provide access credentials for your website, hosting, or related services. We treat these as confidential: access is limited to team members working on your project, credentials are stored in an encrypted password manager (never in plain text or email threads), and we delete or return them when the project ends unless you retain us for maintenance.

9. Data retention

Inquiries and form entries (in the Site’s database and our mailboxes): up to 24 months after our last contact
Client project records: as long as needed to support the work, plus applicable legal retention periods
Job applications, including the form entry and emails: 12 months after the hiring decision, unless you agree that we keep them longer
Invoices and payment records: as long as U.S. tax and accounting rules require
Speed test entries: up to 24 months
The Site’s email delivery log: 14 days
Server logs: about one week
Google Analytics data: up to 14 months

You can request earlier deletion at any time (Section 7).

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted credential storage, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's privacy

The Site is a business-to-business service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we post the new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date at the top. If a material change affects information we already hold about you, we will tell you by email if we have your address, or with a notice on this page if we do not, and, where the law requires, ask for your consent.
